City Limits Brass Quintet will perform Urbs sine finibus urbium during their Spring Recital on April 9, 2012 at 4:30 PM, Jessen Auditorium.

On Tuesday, February 14, 2012 So Percussion will read ElectricSkinsMetallicMenWoodenWarping, a percussion trio with electronics written for line upon line percussion. The reading will take place at the University of Texas at Austin’s Butler School of Music.

Felled, a work for solo oboe, was selected among 50 submissions for the University of South Dakota’s 60/60 Recital. The piece will be premiered by Heidi Farrell on January 27, 2012 in the John A. Day Gallery of the University of South Dakota.

The piece was written in response to these paintings. And it was written in one hour in accordance with these rules.

Joy. Even Against Night. has been nominated for the 2010-2011 Austin Critics’ Table Award for Original Composition/Score. This is a testament to the fantastic performers, and it is, indeed, an honor just to be nominated.
